Yasmin Ghahremani has more than two decades of journalism experience, including 10 years educating consumers about personal finance. In April, 2019, she joined The Balance as a senior editor overseeing reviews of credit cards and other financial products. She is now associate editorial director, providing strategy and operations leadership around educational content designed to help consumers make the best financial choices for their needs. Previously, Yasmin was a managing editor at CreditCards.com and Wise Bread, and a contract editor at LendingTree.
Yasmin has also had an extensive international career covering business, technology, and the environment for broadcast and print outlets, including CNN, CNBC, and Asiaweek magazine. She has worked in the U.S., Hong Kong, and Australia.
Yasmin has a B.S. in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of International Affairs degree from Columbia University.
