Fatherhood, Parenthood, Divorce
Chief Administrative Officer for City of Provo, Utah

Wayne Parker wrote for About.com (now Dotdash) for 15 years, covering fatherhood and parenting in general. His articles, appearing on The Balance, Verywell, and The Spruce sites, touch on a broad array of topics for single and married parents—everything from saving for college and filing taxes after divorce to helping your partner through miscarriage and hosting a child’s sleepover.

A father of five, Parker has been particularly motivated by the country’s rate of fatherlessness. He has been interviewed by radio hosts, podcasters and bloggers. His book, “Power Dads: The 10 Basic Principles Successful Fathers Use to Raise Happy and Responsible Children,” first published in 2015, is used in fathering groups in many cities.

Parker has simultaneously maintained a career in the public sector and is currently the chief administrative officer for the City of Provo, Utah.
