Company Overview

USA Credit Repair is a privately held credit repair company that was founded in 2016 or earlier and is headquartered in New York, NY. This length of time in business puts the company toward the bottom of the other credit repair companies we reviewed. Not much is known about the company other than the date its file was opened with the BBB and where it is headquartered. Unlike much of the competition, USA Credit Repair does not include this type of information on its website.

  • Year Founded 2016 or earlier
  • Average Cost $99 per month
  • Types of Credit Repair Services Available Personalized credit repair services
  • Monthly Monitoring Options Partnership with a third-party for those interested in adding credit monitoring
  • Official Website
  • Customer Support 1-800-509-5751

USA Credit Repair offers credit repair services at a higher-than-average cost of $299 upfront and $99 a month thereafter. There is limited information about the company, but based on a review of information published by the Better Business Bureau (BBB), USA Credit Repair appears to have been founded in 2016 or prior. This makes it one of the newest credit repair companies of those we reviewed.

In addition to being one of the youngest of the companies we reviewed, USA Credit Repair also has a worse reputation than most of the competition, as evidenced by its F rating with the BBB. However, as far as we can tell, there haven’t been any recent complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

Available Services: Customized Credit Repair Services

The majority of the other credit repair companies we reviewed include detailed information about their pricing and credit repair process on their websites. USA Credit Repair doesn’t provide many details about the process used to repair your credit. However, it does note that it will help you repair an unlimited number of items, which is good compared to the competition.

The process with USA Credit Repair starts with a free credit consultation. After your credit has been reviewed, a credit advisor will build a custom plan for you. The company will work on an unlimited number of items and work to repair items with all three major credit bureaus. You won’t have to sign a long-term contract. According to the person with whom we spoke at USA Credit Repair, the cost is a one-time fee of $299 and $99 a month thereafter.

Optional Add-Ons: No Other Services Provided

USA Credit Repair simply offers credit repair services, without additional add-ons. However, we spoke with the company and learned it has a partnership with a third-party company that offers credit monitoring. If you want monthly credit monitoring, it can refer you to this provider. There are lots of other good monthly credit monitoring options you could consider. This lack of add-on services is not overly unusual when compared to the competition.

Routinely monitoring your credit is a good way to avoid surprises and maintain a good credit history.

Customer Service: Typical Contact Options

You can reach USA Credit Repair by phone at 1-800-509-5751 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST Monday through Friday. These hours of operations are pretty typical when compared to the other credit repair providers we reviewed. In addition, you can submit a request online for someone to contact you. This is an option not offered by all of USA Credit Repair’s competitors.

Reputation: Poor BBB Rating and Multiple Complaints

USA Credit Repair has a poor F rating with the BBB, placing it toward the bottom of the list of credit repair companies we reviewed. In addition, there were eight complaints with the BBB within the past three years, with four complaints closed within the past 12 months. Most of the BBB complaints are related to problems with the services offered by USA Credit Repair, including billing and payment problems. Even so, a check of the CFPB’s consumer complaint database didn’t reveal any complaints within the most recent three years.

Customer Satisfaction: Limited Customer Reviews Providing Useful Feedback

USA Credit Repair has no customer reviews through the Better Business Bureau or Trustpilot. However, the company does have a four-star rating on Google based on quite a few reviews. But, not many of the positive reviews include any comments or have only brief comments. Some of the negative reviews indicate problems with billing or services received. Overall, many of the negative comments were similar in tone to complaints on file with the BBB. For these reasons, we suggest carefully weighing your options before using this company, as there are many other credit repair providers out there, some of which have great reputations.

If you ever feel as if a financial services provider did not treat you fairly, you can file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Cost: Little Transparency and Higher Than Average

USA Credit Repair doesn’t publish any pricing on its website, which is fairly unusual. To learn more, we called the company and discovered that the company charges a one-time enrollment fee of $299, plus $99 per month thereafter. While the company’s website advertises that there isn’t any upfront cost for the service, the company representative we spoke with said it was a recent change, and the website will be fixed. In the meantime, the representative indicates that the company will honor its advertised pricing. Still, these costs are higher on average than many of the other credit repair companies we reviewed.

The following table summarizes the costs USA Credit Repair charges for its services:

Plan One-Time Fee Monthly Fee
Credit Repair Services $299 $99

The Competition: USA Credit Repair vs. Ovation Credit Services

One of the key competitors to USA Credit Repair is Ovation Credit Services, an affiliate of LendingTree. As it relates to pricing, you’ll pay less with Ovation Credit Services than you will with USA Credit Repair. Plus, Ovation Credit Services has a much better reputation than USA Credit Repair. This is evidenced by Ovation Credit Services’ A+ rating with the BBB compared to USA Credit Repair’s F rating with the BBB. For all of these reasons, we think Ovation Credit Services is a better option than USA Credit Repair if you’re looking for a credit repair provider.

USA Credit Repair Ovation Credit Services
Monthly Price $99 $79 to $109
First Work Fees $299 $89
