Taylor Tompkins has worked for more than a decade as a journalist covering business, finance, and the economy.

She has logged thousands of hours interviewing experts, analyzing data, and writing articles to help readers understand economic forces. She joined The Balance in 2022 as its Economics Editor.

Previously, Taylor has served as a Reporter and Content Curator at CreditCards where she wrote and managed content about personal finance.

Her work has appeared online and in print at outlets such as American City Business Journals, Yahoo Finance, CreditCards.com, and the San Antonio Express-News.

Taylor has a B.S. in Journalism with a minor in English from Texas State University.
