How to Add Sweepstakes to The Balance's Sweepstakes Listings

If you know about an attractive giveaway that you'd like to share with the Contests community, or if you are a company running a giveaway that you'd like to see added to the list, use this form to tell us all about it:

Submit Sweepstakes to Sandra Grauschopf

Note that all submissions are subject to review and editing. Not all of the sweepstakes submitted through this form will be added to The Balance's Sweepstakes listings.

How to Get the Best Chances of Having Your Giveaway Added

Sandra Grauschopf does not list every sweepstakes available on the internet. Instead, she lists a selection of the best and most trustworthy giveaways in a wide range of categories.

Here are a few types of sweepstakes that have low chances of being added:

  1. Sweepstakes with Low-Value Prizes. There's nothing wrong with giving away small prizes. In fact, many smaller giveaways are very attractive, with great odds. But there are plenty of sweepstakes directories out there that list every available giveaway. Sandra looks for especially attractive prizes to add to the listings.
  2. Sweepstakes Without Clear Rules. Rules are a contract between the company sponsoring the sweepstakes and the entrant. Without them, entrants lack important information, like details about the prize, who is sponsoring the giveaway, how often they can legitimately enter, when the winner will be announced, and more. Missing rules make it unlikely a giveaway will be added.
  1. Sweepstakes Without a Privacy Policy. The privacy policy lets entrants know what will happen with the information they submit. Sandra doesn't recommend entering sweepstakes without making sure that they have a good privacy policy, and she does her best to avoid promoting sweepstakes without them.
  2. Sweepstakes with a Very Short Entry Period. A quick-running giveaway can be a lot of fun to enter, but it's rare that we'll add sweepstakes to our listings that have a short shelf life. Sandra's About Sweepstakes Facebook Page would be a better place to post those kinds of giveaways.
  1. Contests that Charge a Fee to Enter. In America, it's legal to charge a fee to enter judged contests (but not sweepstakes). However, we only list free giveaways on The Balance.

Notification if Sweepstakes Are Added

Unfortunately, we receive too many sweepstakes submissions to be able to respond to each person individually. We really appreciate hearing about all of the new giveaways! You can check the New Sweepstakes List to see if the giveaways you've submitted have been added.

Advertising on Contests

Sandra Grauschopf does not charge (or accept) any money for listing giveaways on Contests. If you would like to advertise on the site, you can contact The Balance's Advertising Department directly.
