The career you are considering is not a good match for you. If, after reading a description, you don't think you would like an occupation, there is a good chance you are right. Beware of getting lured in by high pay or prestige. It won't make you like a career that otherwise would not appeal to you.

If a career has a poor outlook, you will have a very hard time finding work and should, therefore, look into doing something else. While money isn't everything, if you can't earn enough to support yourself and your family, you may quickly grow dissatisfied with your work. Make sure you have all the required skills and, if not, are willing to get the proper training and education. Finally, if you can't get a job where you want to live, and you don't want to move, you should consider another alternative.

The career you're considering could be a good match for you, but you won't know that unless you learn more about it. Don't rely on what your family or friends think is right for you. Ignore what you've been exposed to on television shows. Do your own research.

You must read a job description and interview people who currently are working in the field before you make a final decision. Learn about earnings, job outlook and find out whether you will be able to find a job where you want to live. Also, see if you have met all the educational requirements and possess all the required skills, and if not, can acquire them.

It seems like you did your homework and discovered the career you are thinking about is a good match for you. You gave careful consideration to everything that matters. You read a job description and didn't just rely on what others had to say or what you thought you knew from watching a television show.

You carefully considered earnings and job outlook and investigated whether you will you be able to find a job where you live (or you decided to move to where the jobs are). You have also thought about your skill set and whether you have met all the educational requirements for this career, and if not, are willing to get the proper training. If you haven't looked into all these things, make sure you do that before you move ahead with your plans.
