10 Of The Sexiest Commercials Ever Made

10 Sexy Commercials That Steamed Up Our Screens

Sex sells. It really does. It taps into that part of the brain, the lizard brain, that drives our very basic emotions. And there’s no denying the fact that whether advertisers are selling lingerie, beer, or burgers, they’ll happily use sex appeal to get noticed.

As the years have gone by, the racy aspect of commercials has also increased. More is allowed, and more is being seen. Different countries also have different standards, so be warned…some of these commercials may well by NSFW. Proceed at your own risk.

Koolanoo – Support Your People

Koolanoo. YouTube

The ad is unexpected, although its use of a semi-naked women to sell the idea is not. Still, the ending is funny enough, although the ad should definitely come with a “you really should NOT try this at home” warning.  More

Agent Provocateur – Kylie Minogue

Kylie Agent Provocateur. YouTube

A powerful cinema spot for one of the most daring lingerie brands in the world, actress and singer Kylie Minogue left little to the imagination in this one. The music, provided by The Vines, rocks along as Kylie rides a bucking bronco in the skimpiest underwear imaginable. When she asks the fellas in the audience to stand up, it’s a funny and memorable punch line to an erotic ad.

H&M – David Beckham Bodywear

David Beckham. YouTube

It’s not just semi-naked women who get exploited by the advertisers. Good looking men are everywhere, and most ladies would agree that David Beckham is in the top 1%. In something of a “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” parody, Mr. Beckham runs through the back yards of the neighbors, losing his clothes and looking very buff indeed. The fun spot was directed by Guy Ritchie, who directed “Snatch” and “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.”

Carl’s Jr. – BBQ’s Best Pair

Carl's Jr Best Pair. YouTube

Carl’s Jr. has done plenty of ads featuring scantily clad women, but this one takes the cake. Or should that be the BBQ sauce? The models, Sara Underwood and Emily Ratajkowski (Blurred Lines) cavort around in pants that are more like oversized belts, feeding each other handfuls of steaming meat and crispy onions. Clearly laser-focused on men, they’re probably not drooling over the burger.  More

Reebok – Skyscape Forever

Reebok Skyscape. YouTube

The mere mention of supermodel Miranda Kerr is usually enough to get most men interested. But Reebok decided to go a little further. The voyeuristic ad features Miranda stripping out of her workout clothes to take a hot shower. And it’s all done from the perspective of someone spying on her. The ad is, to be honest, a complete cop out at the end. It feels crowbarred in. It didn’t stop over 3.7 million people watching it though.

Tobasco – Bikini Sunburn

Tobasco. YouTube

Another blatant example of featuring a girl in a skimpy bikini to get viewers paying attention. However, there is an idea buried in here somewhere. The execution isn’t all that good, but the ad works. Burn, baby, burn.  More

Fortnight Lingerie – Super Sexy CPR

CPR. YouTube

A lot of people complained about this one, saying that sex and CPR should not be mixed in this way. But the end result got millions of people to take notice of both the CPR instructions, and the lingerie made by Fortnight. Yes, it's cheeky (pun not intended but it works), but it’s obeying the golden rule of advertising – get noticed.  More

Fiat 500 Abarth – Seduction

Fiat. YouTube

A Super Bowl ad that had plenty of people talking the next day, this is a classic Bait And Switch scenario. One of those “oh, he was only dreaming” spots, but you don’t mind because it’s amusing and it’s sexy at the same time.

Xenergy – Monica

Xenergy. YouTube

A drink you probably haven’t heard of, featuring a sexy woman most people don’t know. It doesn’t seem to matter. Almost 3 million hits for this 2008 ad that is shameless, but it probably sold a bunch of drinks six years ago.  More

Heat Perfume – Beyoncé

Beyonce. YouTube

The fragrance is called Heat, and it’s owned by one of the sexiest women in the world. The direction for the ad was always going to be steamy, but this one takes it to a new level of seduction.
