Experience

Rosemary Carlson has written about personal finance for The Balance since early 2019. She wrote about general finance for The Balance (then About.com) from 2008 to 2013.

She taught all areas of finance, including personal finance, for 27 years at Morehead State University, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Maryland-Global Campus. She has also written instructors' manuals and study guides for many companies. Carlson has served as a consultant in finance for a number of companies, including Accenture. She has developed online course materials in personal finance for universities and corporations, too.

Education

Carlson received her master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Kentucky. She earned her bachelor's from Morehead State University.
