Summer Analyst & Associate Positions
Perella Weinberg Partners Summer Analysts and Summer Associates work in their advisory business across the mergers & acquisitions as well as restructuring practices. The goal is to provide interns with real world transaction experience over a 10-week program, giving them an opportunity to investigate investment banking as a career and gain valuable skills. Summer Interns work as members of deal teams to provide a broad range of services to the firm's client-base. Intern responsibilities include building financial valuation models, engaging in due diligence processes, conducting company and industry research, and creating client presentations.
Interns enjoy direct access to the industry's most highly regarded M&A and restructuring practitioners, while gaining broad experience with varied products and industry sectors.
Perella Weinberg Partners offers a team-oriented, collaborative culture where Interns interact with senior bankers and clients and make meaningful contributions to deals.
Upon joining the firm, interns participate in a formal training program. Classroom training teaches core concepts required for the role; roundtables and case studies explore key products and topics. Roundtables and networking events with senior bankers continue over the course of the program. Each Intern is also assigned a mentor to help them acclimate to the firm and to assist with development. In addition to organized social events and lunches, interns are encouraged to network with bankers at all levels over the course of the summer.
Summer Analysts are hired to work in the New York, San Francisco and London offices and Summer Associates are hired to work in New York.

As an analyst you will learn about both mergers and acquisitions as well as restructuring while building knowledge across industries. At Perella Weinberg, analysts start in a generalist pool and usually specialize in an industry for about 6 months to a year.
Candidates rated the Perella interview process a very positive experience and a 4/0 out of 5.0 for difficulty. Questions included topics like understanding of leveraged buyouts. Most candidates were recruited on-campus and had an interview with someone from the main Perella office.
If qualified they then get scheduled for a superday, which consists of multiple interviews, with each one being a one-on-one with various personnel from the office the intern will be working at.
Perellas Weinberg recruits sophomores (NY), juniors and 1st year MBA students. Candidates must have a strong academic track-record and in-depth understanding of essential financial concepts. Other desired qualities are a strong work ethic, a positive and collaborative attitude, clear communication skills, and the desire to take initiative. Candidates interested in the San Francisco office should have a desire to work in the area of technology, media and/or telecommunications.
