Though Microsoft discontinued sales of Microsoft Money in 2009 (and support for the program in 2011), many people still depend on the software to manage their finances.

If you use Microsoft Money regularly, you can save a lot of time learning and using keyboard shortcuts. These allow you to quickly access features or toggle between displays without using your mouse.

How to Use Keyboard Shortcuts

Executing commands without having to navigate menus can be done using a few quick keystroke combinations.

To use these shortcuts, press and hold down the first key in the combination, then press the second key in the series while still holding the first. For example, to toggle to a two-line display, you must first press and hold the Ctrl key, followed by the T key, then release both.

In the case of a three-key combination, such as Ctrl + Shift + M, which marks items as reconciled, hold down both the Ctrl and Shift buttons, then press M and release all three keys.

Microsoft Money Moves to Plus Sunset Deluxe

Since Microsoft discontinued the Money software line, it offers an alternative version called Money Plus Sunset Deluxe, which is free. It replaces Microsoft Money Essentials, Microsoft Money Deluxe, Microsoft Money Premium, Microsoft Money Home and Microsoft Money Business editions.

However, it does not offer online services like data sync or stock quotes, and there's no technical support, either. If you'd still like to use Microsoft Money or the Sunset version for your finances, you can find training using Microsoft Money tutorials.
