Mary Beth began her career in journalism as a Dow Jones Newspaper Fund intern during college and spent many years on the copy desks of daily newspapers in both the Midwest and the East Coast. Her work garnered her multiple awards for excellence from a variety of organizations including the Society of Professional Journalists, the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association, and the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania.
Her journalism training and passion for personal finance led her to a career in writing and editing educational content that helps people get better with money.
Mary Beth holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, where she currently serves on the board of the BG News Alumni Society.
