Currency ETFs and ETNs offer a lot to a portfolio. Due to their advantages, they can be used as an easy way to enter the currency market. Currency ETFs can be used to hedge inflation, portfolio risk, and foreign risk. They can be used as a way to gain foreign investment exposure, emerging market exposure, and even exposure to a domestic currency. And they are a nice way just to diversify your portfolio.

However, before you can get started with currency ETFs, you need to know which ones are available. And that’s just what I have done for you. Here is a pretty thorough list of domestic and foreign currency ETFs and ETNs. Some currency ETFs on this list fall under two categories like inverse ETFs or leveraged ETFs, but I’ve broken them down so you can find the right match for your investing strategy.
