There is certainly something to be said in learning from the best. This is one of the reasons we choose the schools we do and try to select mentors that we look up to and respect. As an extension of this thought process, it would be interesting to work for someone who is the best at what they do. I bet there are things that could be learned about goals and attitude, determination and perseverance, the ability to concentrate on and fine tune your skills no matter where you are in your career.

The experience can hold even greater impact when that superstar is someone as looked up to as LeBron James!

LeBron James has become a household word, not only in the United States but around the world. He has led his team, the Miami Heat, to consecutive NBA titles, been named the NBA Finals MVP twice, honored as the League’s Most Valuable Player four times, won two Olympic Gold Medals, and was named NBA Rookie of the Year. In addition, James has been named as one of the world's most influential athletes by Forbes Magazine. He has hosted the ESPY Awards and Saturday Night Live and has been featured in numerous books, magazines, and television commercials. LeBron is also a philanthropist and is an ongoing supporter of the Boys & Girls Club of America, the Children's Defense Fund, and ONEXONE, in addition to his own LeBron James Family Foundation. Surprisingly, he has accomplished all of this by the age of 28.

Internships

A chance to work as an intern on the LeBron James website is a great opportunity for students. The site focuses on several major categories including Lifestyle, Entertainment, and Sports. The Lifestyle section focused on Fashion, Food, Fans, and Dating while the Entertainment section focuses on Games, Music, Movies, Video, and the Web.

The Sports tab includes Highlights, Training Programs, and features articles on young up and coming “Ballers”. In addition, there is a section that focuses on LeBron and his ongoing activities and business ventures.

The site has internship openings in the spring, summer, and fall semesters for full-time students interested in online content development as well as digital sports marketing.
