Laurel Delaney is a successful entrepreneur, speaker, educator and author with more than 25 years of global business experience. She runs GlobeTrade.com and the nonprofit Women Entrepreneurs GROW Global, firms specializing in international entrepreneurship and continues to devote her career to helping businesses go global. She is the author of Start & Run a Profitable Exporting Business published by Self-Counsel Press (2008), Exporting: The Definitive Guide to Selling Abroad Profitably published by Apress (2013, 2nd edition 2016) and Exporting Essentials: Selling Products and Services to the World Successfully (2014) also published by Apress.
The United States Small Business Administration has recognized Laurel as a world-renowned global small business expert by naming her the “Illinois Exporter of the Year.” She is the author of three books: Start and Run a Profitable Exporting Business (Self Counsel Press, 1998), Exporting: The Definitive Guide to Selling Abroad Profitably (Apress, 2013), and most recently, Exporting Essentials: Selling Products and Services to the World Successfully (Apress 2014), as well as numerous articles that have appeared in international and scholarly publications.
Laurel is the creator of three blogs with an international business focus: The Global Small Business Blog (ranked No. 1 in the world for entrepreneurs and small businesses interested in going global), Women Entrepreneurs GROW Global where she serves as Executive Director, and Laurel's Export Blog.
She is a pioneering member and a board member by appointment of the World Entrepreneurship Forum and a member of the International Council for Small Business. She serves as the Chicago chapter chair for the Women Presidents’ Organization.
Laurel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Columbia College Chicago and a Master in Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. She has served as an adjunct professor of M.B.A. International Marketing at Loyola University Chicago.
