Laureen Miles Brunelli

A freelance writer and editor for more than a decade, Laureen Miles Brunelli has built a work-at-home career while she and her husband raise three children.

After working as a magazine reporter in New York City, Laureen began her freelance writing career in Orlando, FL, in 1996 with the birth of her first child.

Since then, the family has moved twice and welcomed two more children. With each birth and every new city, Laureen's career and home life changed. One of those changes came in 2006 when her husband began working from home as well. Together, they juggle family and work responsibilities from their sometimes chaotic home.

In addition being The Spruce's Guide to Work-at-Home Moms, Laureen is the back-to-school expert for MSN's Mom's Homeroom and an editor of online college courses.

Laureen earned a bachelor degree in journalism and political science from Indiana University.

I have always cherished the time I can spend with my children as they grow, but I enjoy the challenge (and monetary reward) of having a career. Working from home gives me the best of both worlds, though it isn't always easy. I want to take what I've learned in the last decade to help you navigate through the ups and downs of being a work-at-home mom.

This page tells how I did it, but there is no one way to be a work-at-home parent. That's why I love connecting with other at-home parents, so check out my profile at Laureen Miles Brunelli Google +.
