Katie has worked in almost every part of consumer financial services over an 18-year period. She started out developing new credit card products, leading her organization from a “metal line” (silver, gold, platinum) of credit cards to rewards cards during the early 2000s.
She spent the years throughout the recession leading consumer, credit card, and collections analytics, risk, and training teams to identify and minimize risk while maximizing consumer opportunities to obtain credit. Following the recession, she was recruited to lead a large mortgage team where she implemented the significant regulatory changes resulting from Dodd-Frank regulations (QM and TILA-RESPA) amid continual real estate economic and regulatory upheaval. During this time, she more than doubled her portfolios and was featured on the cover of MLife (a mortgage industry) magazine. Katie has been quoted in numerous publications as an industry expert.
She managed an operational and strategic team handling savings, checking, IRA, CD, and trust products and is passionate about financial education and ensuring that every person understands their financial options. She finished her corporate career by leading the implementation of a corporate cloud data repository, data governance, data privacy, and AI solution, revolutionizing consumer insight opportunities.
Katie received her Bachelor of Arts in Math and Economics from Dartmouth College and was a NAFCU-certified compliance officer, maintaining comprehensive understanding of the rules and regulations that govern the credit union industry.
