Evercore Partners provides advisory services on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, divestitures, and financing to corporate clients. Subsidiary Evercore Asset Management serves institutional investors and focuses on small and mid-cap stocks of publicly traded US firms, while Evercore Wealth Management serves high-net-worth individuals. Evercore Partners also makes private equity investments and has almost $17 billion in assets under management.

In addition to its US operations, the company is active around the world through subsidiaries like Protego in Mexico and Evercore Europe in London.  Competitors include Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Charles Schwab, KPMG, and J.P. Morgan.

Evercore Intern, Analyst and Associate positions offer career experiences that afford a hands-on experience; working side-by-side with senior executives as they develop strategies, generate opportunities, and complete transactions for their clients.  This is an opportunity to learn the investment banking business from the people who have helped construct today’s best practices and industry standards. Evercore provides rigorous training and ongoing mentorship activities.

Intern positions are designed to provide individuals with a broad range of experiences. Responsibilities vary by business and may include projects in acquisitions, restructurings, recapitalizations, divestitures, partnerships, joint ventures, private equity, research, and sales and trading activities.

Interns will participate in financial modeling, quantitative analysis, valuation issues, industry analysis, and market research.  They will also have the chance to prepare for and attend client meetings.  Associate position salaries range from $49K to $159K.

The interview process is generally conducted in multiple rounds, with meeting scheduled with multiple partners who ask both experiential as well as knowledge-based questions.

Internship of the Week:

The Evercore Summer Program is a 10-week program (including one week of training) designed to provide highly motivated undergraduates and MBA’s with a representative experience in strategic advisory and mergers and acquisitions. As part of the program, interns will work on a variety of assignments across industries including: acquisitions, restructurings, recapitalizations, divestitures, partnerships and joint ventures. As part of the team assigned to these projects, individuals will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: preparing for and attending client meetings, financial modeling, industry analysis, due diligence and process management and execution of transactions.

Summer analysts and associates typically work as part of small teams and as a result get a significant amount of exposure to senior bankers as well as clients, and are able to take on as much responsibility early on as they can handle. Summer interns are sometimes staffed side-by-side with a full-time counterpart, but are also given opportunities to work on deal teams without another analyst/associate and are responsible for a large portion of the team's analytical work.

• Must have completed junior year in college or first year of a full-time MBA Program.
• Possess superior analytical abilities.
• Solid interpersonal and communications skills and ability to articulate ideas.
• Strong work ethic.
• Outgoing, goal-oriented character.

How to apply:

Much of Evercore’s recruiting is on college and university campuses, with the first round of interviews being done on campus.

If applying online, candidates should complete the online application and submit a cover letter and CV or resume on the company's website.
