Glenn Hunter has written or edited thousands of articles over a four-decade journalism career, including on the savings and loan and subprime mortgage crises. Before bringing topics like tax policy and mortgage trends to life at The Balance, he edited the Dallas Business Journal, a weekly business newspaper recognized by the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, and D CEO, a regional monthly business magazine recognized by SABEW, the Alliance of Area Business Publishers and the City and Regional Magazine Association.
As a freelance reporter, Glenn has written for publications including Fortune, Entrepreneur, The Writer, Texas Monthly, the Arizona Republic, the Albuquerque Journal, the Dallas Morning News, and the Los Angeles Times.
Glenn has been a news editor at The Balance since March 2021. A native of Santa Barbara, California, he has lived in Dallas since 1997. In his spare time, he enjoys writing about politics, country music, executive leadership, and travel.
