Gina LaGuardia is a contract editor for The Balance, and has edited personal finance articles for six years for companies like Chase, BBVA, SoFi, and more. Gina has more than 25 years of experience in senior editorial roles, including six years of editing personal finance articles. The former magazine editor-in-chief ventured out to form her own editorial consulting firm after leading an award-winning educational magazine and network of websites for two decades.
She and other members of her team have provided content and social media services to such financial leaders as Chase, American Express, Experian, SoFi, First Horizon Bank, BBVA, gohenry, 5arch Funding/CoreVest Financing, and others. She was part of the teams that helped launch Chase News & Stories in 2015, as well as the relaunch of American Express Canada’s Business Class Trends & Insights in 2018.
In addition to her leadership and consulting roles, Gina has written for TD Ameritrade, Chase, Forbes, Cox Communications, Loopnet, HuffPost, and others.
Gina holds a B.A. in journalism from New York University.
