Free Websites to Determine Your Personality Type

Do you ever wonder what personality type you have? These free personality tests will ask you a series of questions and then tell you how your personality falls into different categories.

Some of these personality tests are based on the Myers Briggs personality test where you are put into 16 personality types, for example, extraversion vs. introversion and thinking vs. feeling. Other tests are based on work by Carl Jung and other psychologists. Just read through each description to see which test works best for you.

Some of these free personality tests are very detailed and may take you quite a while to complete. Other ones are shorts and will give you answer in just a few minutes. Usually the more detailed the questions and longer the test, the more solid your result will be.

This free personality test has 60 questions that are used to identify you as having one of 16 different personality types.

Questions are framed so you have 7 ways to answer each of them, such as Agree, Neutral, or Disagree, with options between them to be even more specific.

When the test is over, you’re given one of the personality types from this page, with a full description of what your personality type means, including strengths and weaknesses, career paths, workplace habits, romantic relationships, and friendships that your personality type normally possesses.

A table is also shown, which shows the direction your personality points in categories like Mind, Energy, and Identity, such as Extroverted/Introverted, Intuitive/Observant, Assertive/Turbulent, and others.

This is another personality test, called Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test, but instead just has just Yes/No questions.

There are 72 questions in total, and they're all listed on one single page, which makes it easy to review your answers before submitting them.

Once your answers have been scored, you'll be told your personality type with percentages explaining which way you sway more, such as toward Sensing over Intuition, or Perceiving over Judging. Plus, a link to your results page will be shown so you can share it with others.

There are a total of 50 questions. Each question can be answered in one of a few ways, such as Disagree strongly, Agree a little, or Agree strongly, among others.

The results of this personality test are based on the "Five Factor Model" of personality, which reveals how you score when it comes to  Extroversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness.

There are over 35 questions in this free personality test. Like some of the others ​on this list, it assesses your personality based on Briggs Myers' 16 personality types, measuring where you fall in areas like Thinking vs Feeling and Sensing vs Intuition.

Questions are setup so you gauge how strongly you relate to various things, as well as how often you possess certain feelings.

When finished, you can view your results online with the option to build a user account to keep track of them.

Like some of these other tests, this one from MyPersonality has 5 multiple choice answers for each question, including Strongly Agree, Neither Agree nor Disagree, and Strongly Disagree.

When finished with the first 60 questions, you can complete the test to see your score, or you can take some additional questions for a more accurate result.

During the test, you can hover your mouse over any of the questions for a brief explanation of what is being asked.

This test is called the Keirsey Temperament Sorter, and has a total of 70 questions. Each question has two options that you must choose between.

After entering in your gender, name, email, and a password, the test is scored and shows you your personality result. You then have access to a free report that explains what your personality means. More

Personality Max's Free Personality Test

Personality Max has a personality test that should take around 10 minutes to complete, has 76 questions, and gives you completely free results when finished.

All of these questions are setup in a way that makes you finish the sentence with one of two answers. For example, one of the questions reads "When around other people, I...", and you must choose either "start conversation" or "keep to myself".

The results page shows four areas of a personality and indicates the ones you're more prone to be, such as Judging over Perceiving, and Sensing over Intuition. This creates your 4-letter personality type, like INTJ, which means The "Strategist".
