For more than 30 years, he has professionally edited, written, and researched in the publishing and legal worlds on a gamut of subject matter ranging from bankruptcy to behavioral forensics and pharmaceuticals. For nearly 12 years, David worked for Matthew Bender & Co., a subdivision of legal publisher LexisNexis. There, he held several hats, including manager of research and development, programmer analyst, and senior copy editor. He also worked for Apple, Inc. as a specialist, where his objective was to lead customer interaction toward leveraging technologies in commercial and artistic endeavors.

In addition to fact-checking for The Balance, David produces videography and photography and writes fiction. He earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees from the University of Michigan, and a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School.
