Below are some custodian interview questions. When interviewing for a custodian position, you really want to do everything you can to show the interviewer your attention to detail and custodial knowledge. While you should always be prepared for common job interview questions, there are a few custodian-specific questions that you’ll want to make sure you have practiced before hand.

Custodians, also sometimes called janitors, are in charge of maintaining a place, such as a school or office space, and ensuring that it is clean and maintained.

Custodians may work alone or on teams. At some companies, custodians do their job primarily when other employees are no longer in the building, but at others, custodians frequently interact with company employees.

During an interview for a custodian position, expect questions about how you care for equipment, your problem-solving abilities and details on your previous experience as a custodian.

Review this list of frequently asked interview questions for custodians, and practice your answers in advance.
