When Veterans Get Their Free Meal at Chili's

Chili's is having their free meal deal for veterans and active military members on the actual day of Veterans Day, which this year is on Friday, November 11, 2016.

Not every Chili's location is participating, so you should call your local Chili's sometime before you head out just to confirm that they're having this free meal.

I have a list of frequently asked questions about Veterans Day free meals that you should look at for answers to some questions you may have about how these types of Veterans Day offers work.

Who's Eligible for the Chili's Free Meal on Veterans Day

The free meal on Veterans Day offered by Chili's in 2016 is available for veterans and active military members only. This means family members, friends, co-workers, and any other guest with the veteran or military customer must pay full price for their visit

Chili's Special Veterans Day Menu

This year Chili's has a special Veterans Day menu for their free meal. These are your choices:

  • Oldtimer with Cheese
  • Soup & Salad
  • Chicken Crispers
  • Chipotle Chicken
  • Margherita Flatbread

More information about these options can be seen in Chili's online menu.

What You Need to Take With You to Chili's

Most restaurants, Chili's included, requires proof of service before you can take advantage of the free meal.

You can usually do this a number of ways, such as showing military ID, a current Leave and Earnings Statement, a U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID Card, or even dressing in your military uniform.

I recommend calling the Chili's you'll be visiting to confirm what you need to have with you to redeem the free meal.

Chili's Veterans Day Free Meal Restrictions

A Veterans Day free meal is just that - a Veterans Day free meal. This means you can't use this particular offer on any other day but Friday, November 11, of 2016.

Chili's has said that this offer is good only for active and retired military personnel. Again, this means that even if you bring your family with you to eat, it's only the individuals that show proof of service that will actually get the free meal. Everyone else will pay the regular price for their meal.

The options for this free meal comes from the menu you see above, not from any other menu you may look through at Chili's. This means although Chili's may offer some other choices, only the ones you see above are eligible for the Veterans Day offer.

Beverages and gratuity are not included in this Veterans Day offer.
