Currently, Carron writes and blogs about legal topics, and researches and writes motions for other lawyers. In her early career, Carron was a banker, a bankruptcy court clerk, and a paralegal in a bankruptcy law firm. She later went to Tulane University School of Law, where she was the assistant articles editor for the Law Review and graduated magna cum laude. She clerked for the Hon. Jacques L. Wiener of the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and for Steven Felsenthal, Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. Carron also taught paralegal studies and real estate courses at Texas colleges.
