Alison Kotch is a freelance writer, editor, and runner based in Brooklyn who formerly wrote for The Balance covering topics such as budgeting. She also wrote about the importance of funding models for public schools as a freelancer for purpose-driven company Nation Swell. During her career, Alison served as a former managing editor for digital and print media for brands such as Billboard and Meredith Corporation.
